Kids, when you grow up, you will realize that you need to master counting 1 2 3 not just to do your math, but more importantly to countdown days to your paycheck date, balance your hutangs and to top that all, calculate spending your imaginary bonus(es)!
You may understand from this that math skills are very important in life, like it or not. I myself am not a mathematician and seldom rely to the good help of a calculator even for simple math. Yes, you will not be using all the Sin, Tan and Kos everday, but nonetheless, such skill is also one of a survivor skill that you need to have to proceed with life. So, bear along with your math teacher and your homework, it will do you good, at least in the long run.
As illustrated, math also helps you to go through life, literally. Believe it or not, most people are driven by ‘carrot’ style of living, rather than ‘stick’. You need remuneration to succeed rather than punishment. Having said that, you will understand why you mother and father glows on pay day and you feel you stomach fuller than any days else with treats. So, math also helps you to dream big and count your (anticipated) returns. Not to say that being rewarded is everything, but the feeling of being appreciated helps.
But always remember, in order to receive, you must give. Thus, if you plan to have it big, submit bigger. Work harder and smarter. With math accompanying your dream, you are set for bigger things. Good luck!
